Happy V-day?

Today went by fast, and it was very uneventful, at least valentine wise. I think this is my first Valentine's Day that's gone by without me pining, in some way, to be with someone, that's pretty awesome. I saw some stuff on campus, but it all seemed so trite, so completely meaningless...

Whatever, it'll probably be different once I'm married, it was when I was actually going out with someone, but it wasn't like I HAD to do something, I just wanted to, you know? I wanted to show my appreciation, but I didn't feel obligated to do something grand and over-the-top. Maybe it'll be different with someone else, but I won't know till it happens.

On a less v-day note, I've been playing Metroid Prime 2 lately and man do I love that game. It's hard to describe how, but I think it's because it feels like I'm actually going through an adventure, like I actually have to think about what I have to do instead of always being told. On the other hand, it can be really annoying when you have no idea what to do, just that you got a new power-up and you have to use it on something. You have to remember where you've seen things that will interact with your power-up so that you can come back once you get it, and it feels good when you do remember, or you figure out the riddle it gives to you, but it can be frustrating.

Anyways, I'm now satisfied, for today, with my Metroid progress and it seems that I always have about an hour at the end of the day before I need to sleep; scripture reading should fill that slot, but I'd rather read earlier in the day so I don't feel like it's some chore I have to do before going to sleep. So far, I've been decent about reading during the day so I have free time between 9:30-11:00 or so, but it varies a bit each day.

Well, that seems enough for now.

Level Up! 2 levels in Math!

I had honestly forgotten about this blog, but I'm glad I found it again.

I recently moved to San Marcos, Texas to go to Texas State University so I'm in a whole new part of my life. School is awesome and I really enjoy all of my classes; Physics is kind of strange, but that's the teacher, not the subject. I learn from her just fine, but on the first test I didn't get partial credit on the problems we had to work out. I'm going to talk to her during her next office hours to find out why and what I did wrong--I can understand not having the right answers, but there is no way I did nothing right in the work process.

Anyways, that's what's on my mind right now.
